President's Message

There are some interesting things going on in June as you can see from an email below, from District Governor Beth Selby:

I am excited to share with you the following Rotary activities happening in June!  Please register online on the District 7070 website for district activities.

  • Wednesday June 3rd, 7:00-8:00PM - Rotary 7070 Foundation Connects.  RI Update on The Rotary Foundation with Guest Speaker PRID and Rotary Foundation Trustee, Bryn Styles.
  • Tuesday June 9th, 7:00PM-8:00PM - Open Mic Chat with RI President Mark Maloney.  See the attachment below.
  • Saturday June 20th to Friday June 26th - The 2020 Rotary Virtual Convention.  For more details and registration, consult www.riconvention.org.
  • Tuesday June 30th , 6:45PM-8:00PM - 'District 7070 ... Year End Celebration. District Awards. Changeover.'

Things were very busy at the bottle depot on the weekend.

When times are as busy as they have been at the depot, it brings out the true character of our members.

When people are scheduled to work a particular shift and it is busy, I find that our members work extra hard and stay for extra hours to help get through the back log.  Nobody ask them to stay or come in early or just show up to help when not scheduled, they just do it on their own.

It’s not only the actions of our members at the bottle depot, it’s all the other things that we do that makes you feel real proud of the club and the people in it.  It is a very satisfying feeling knowing that the efforts are all going to support great things in our community.

President Dave Robinet

R-O-T-A-R-Y, that spells Rotary.
R-O-T-A-R-Y, is known on land and sea.
From north to south, and east to west,
They profit most who serve the best,

Four Way Test
Of the things we think, say, and do:
1.  Is it the TRUTH?
2.  Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3.  Will it build GOODWILL and better
     FRIENDSHIPS?
4.  Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
