The Food for Home program continues to be a focus of the Hastings Prince Edward Learning Foundation.   In addition to having snacks available in the school, meals or food vouchers have been provided to PECI students and their families in the past.  And, starting in January 2022, the Nutrition Pantry concept enabled students to take nutritious food home.  Students who are food vulnerable, can “shop” for dry goods, fresh vegetables and fruit and dairy products that they can cook and consume at home with their families …an initiative that has been well received by all.  Our donation will enable to Nutrition pantry pilot to operate thru the balance of this school year.
